In convenience stores, beverage coolers are often placed alongside counters for bulk, ready-to-eat foods like oden and steamed buns, close to the checkout counter. The display changes seasonally; in winter, lightly flavored drinks are given prime placement, while strong brand-name products like cola are placed in secondary positions; in summer, best-selling items like cola are placed in the most prominent, highest-view locations. Cold drinks, sandwiches, and rice balls are considered "high-purpose" purchases and are typically not placed in the most prominent locations such as the store entrance. Freezers are usually placed against the wall, with a set temperature of around 4°C.

With technological advancements, smart beverage coolers are beginning to utilize AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) technology. These solutions enable intelligent equipment management, automatic identification of frozen food displays, out-of-stock monitoring, and inventory alerts, improving terminal operational efficiency and replenishment timeliness.

The placement of beverage coolers must ensure stability, especially for tall, upright coolers. Avoid placing them on slopes or other unstable surfaces to prevent tipping and accidents.
